Rachel Canelli started at the Bucks County Courier Times in January 2004 as an intern for the LIFE section. Before she graduated from Holy Family University with a degree in English Literature, she was hired as a two-year graduate intern in April 2004 to write for the weekly Focus on Newtown where Rachel covered municipal meetings, features, schools and sports.

Six months later, she was promoted to the daily to cover Newtown and Wrightstown. By that summer, Rachel was hired full-time to cover education. She is now responsible for Council Rock and Neshaminy School Districts, the George School, Bucks County Community College and other colleges, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and enterprise, including the Department of Education, as well as features and breaking news.

She also crafts topics, places and scripts and assists in editing an online weekly video feature for the Bucks County Courier Times and Intelligencer newspapers' Web sites called the Buzz in Bucks.
