On 11/27/12, Patrol responded to Overton Ave. for a reported burglary. Neighbors and a sanitation worker reported hearing glass break and a short time later observed a white male with a brown hat running from the residence with a medium size box in his hands. The male ran to a dark green Jeep SUV, with gold rims. The vehicle left the area towards Morrisville Borough. A PA registration was obtained by the sanitation worker which came back as stolen from the Yardley Train Station the previous day.  On Overton, officers on the scene confirmed that the rear door was forced open. The home owners were contacted and confirmed that a jewelry box was missing from the master bedroom. ($1,000 worth of jewelry).

On 11/29/12, Lower Makefield Officer Zimmerman observed a Jeep matching the description, in a driveway in Yardley Borough. The Jeep was registered to that residence. Patrol and Lower Makefield detectives began to conduct surveillance on the vehicle. Photos of that vehicle where shown to neighbors, who confirmed that it matched the description of the vehicle seen during the burglary.

On 12/3/12 the Jeep was followed to the Yardley Train Station, the sight of the earlier stolen tag, where it was observed circling through the north and south parking lots. The Jeep stopped in the west side of the
south lot then drove through several Lower Makefield neighborhoods.

On 01/29/13, LMT Officer Zimmerman observed the same Jeep driving through the parking lots of the South Corporate Center and 777 Township Line Rd. The Jeep stopped in the lot and the driver, was observed attempting to steal a tag off another vehicle. After a brief investigation, the driver/suspect was arrested by Officer Zimmerman for theft and possession of drugs and an instrument of crime.
