Tommy Rowan, a former journalism student at Bucks County Community College, writes about history, and how current events measure up to the past, for The Philadelphia Inquirer, Daily News, and philly.com. His winter series, Crooks, tells the forgotten stories behind legendary Philly crimes and criminals. His summer series, Stoops, focused on the places and ways Philadelphians gather. He wrote for The Express-Times in Easton, PA, and Metro Philadelphia, before joining the Philadelphia Media Network in 2015. He is a 2011 graduate of Temple University, where he majored in journalism and minored in English and History. Prior to Temple, he studied journalism at Bucks and wrote for the Centurion. He's interned and freelanced for the Philadelphia Daily News, Philly.com, Bucks County Courier Times and Doylestown Intelligencer.
