Annmarie Ely, a former journalism student at Bucks County Community College, is currently Delaware Valley University's media relations and publications coordinator. In that role, she supervises interns from DelVal's media and communications and business majors who are gaining hands-on experience working with the marketing and communications team. In 2016, she received the Joseph W. Donovan Young Professional/Rising Star Award from College and University Public Relations and Associated Professionals (CUPRAP). Ely joined the University in 2010. Some stories she has covered for DelVal include: a feature on two married DelVal alumni who both work for NASA; The Organic Farming Program, which prepares military veterans for careers in organic agriculture; Hope of the Harvest, DelVal's charitable garden; and a feature on a staff member who was a firefighter in New York City during 9/11. She earned her B.A. in English, with a specialization in journalism, from Millersville University and is currently working on her MBA at DelVal. Before joining the University, she interned with The Intelligencer in Doylestown where she wrote feature stories and community news. She has also served as a freelance writer.
