Math 140: Calculus I
Instructor: Joe Erickson (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Textbook: Calculus, 2nd Edition, by Briggs & Cochran
Term: Fall 2015
October 28 - Assignments for sections 4.5 and 4.6 in the textbook have been revised.
October 20 - Exam #2 and its key are now in Resources.
October 18 - The assignment sheet has been updated: in particular more problems have been assigned for sections 4.1 and 4.2 in the book.
October 12 - Class for today is canceled.
October 6 - Exam #1 and its key are in the Resources section of the site (link below).
October 5 - I found my "lost pages" of the calculus notes, at last. They include proofs that sin'(t)=cos(t) and cos'(t)=-sin(t), as well as an implicit differentiation example, among a few other things.
September 23 - Exam #1 will happen on September 28.
September 15 - Class for tomorrow is canceled. We will pick up where we left off on Monday, September 21.
September 12 - The notes (link below) I have consolidated into one pdf document, with updated cross-references to definitions, theorems, and so on. The clickable table of contents in the notes should help in finding things. Be aware that section numbers and the arrangement of some topics differ occasionally between the textbook and the notes.
September 9 - The assignment sheet has been updated to include the four exercises at the end of section 2.2 of the Notes.
August 25 - This is the Fall 2015 afternoon Calculus 1 course website.
