Welcome!

I am your instructor for the Spring 2013 Semester. I am a fulltime faculty member here at BCCC in the MaST Department.  I have taught both online and face to face sections of CISC100, CISC105, CISC110, CISC127 and CISG102.  I hold 2 degrees and 2 certifications.  I received a BA in Radio/TV/Film from the University of Maryland and a MS in Instruction Technology and Education from West Chester University.  Upon graduation I worked as a Media Specialist for the middle school in Moorestown, New Jersey.  In 1999 I obtained a part-time teaching position here at Bucks County Community College.  The perfect job for me to stay active and current in an ever changing technological world and have a family.  In the spring of 2010 I became a fulltime instructor.

My philosophy of education is simple, making the connection between what we learn, how we learn it and then being able to apply that information in our lives both personally and professionally.  It is a simple process I call "knowledge transference" - learn, apply, transfer.   In all reality, what you will learn this semester will be outdated by the time you graduate.  Yet, if you can make the transition to transfer what you will learn, you will be able to keep current with today’s ever-changing digital world. Good luck to you!
